About Chief of Mom Life
Chief of Mom Life is a leadership-driven framework and community for Moms who are doing a lot— and want to do it with more intention, clarity, and support.
We believe Motherhood is Leadership.
Modern Moms manage complex lives filled with decisions, responsibilities, and competing priorities. Without structure, even meaningful work and strong families can begin to feel reactive and overwhelming.
Chief of Mom Life exists to help Moms lead their lives with clarity, confidence, and systems that work in real life.
Chief of Mom Life began with a shared realization between two sisters on very different paths, living similarly complex lives.
Abby and Jessica share a deep commitment to meaningful work and strong families, even as their lives took very different forms. They built lives that looked nothing alike, living across the country from one another with different careers and interests. Despite the distance, they stayed connected, regularly sharing systems, ideas, and practical ways to make life work better.
Over time, those conversations revealed something important: the leadership principles that worked in their professional lives made a meaningful difference when applied at home.
Our Origin
Our Team
Abby Poklar
Abby is driven by work that creates lasting impact. As an executive leader at an educational organization, she builds clarity amid complexity—protecting priorities, anticipating change, and designing systems that hold under pressure. Over time, she realized those same leadership demands existed at home.
Motherhood surfaced familiar friction: endless decisions, invisible work, and urgency crowding out intention. When Abby applied the tools she used professionally to family life, everything shifted. Structure reduced mental load. Systems created clarity. What mattered most stayed protected.
Abby’s path—leaving college to work full time, then returning to complete her degree and earn a Master’s while building her career—shaped her understanding of leadership forged in real life, not ideal conditions.
Her work helps Moms lead their lives with confidence, grounded in the belief that intention must be designed for, not hoped for.
Founder, Editor-In-ChiefAn MIT-educated systems engineer with an MBA, she built her career in demanding tech environments that took her across the country and around the world.
In late 2022, she reached a point where mom life felt like swimming upstream. She began intentionally rebuilding her life through small, sustainable changes—starting with a five-minute daily ritual supported by an accountability partner. Those changes compounded. Life became more intentional without becoming rigid. Through this process, Jessica developed a commitment to self-leadership and real human connection.
Her work helps Moms build healthier routines, stronger family relationships, and a more intentional way of living—without adding pressure. She believes self-care is not an escape, but a form of leadership grounded in clarity and community.

Though Abby and Jessica are different in background and approach, they are aligned in what matters most: meaningful work, strong families, and leadership that supports life rather than competes with it.
Again and again, they found themselves sharing frameworks and small adjustments that made daily life easier. Over time, it became clear this was more than personal problem-solving—it was a shared passion.
Chief of Mom Life is a leadership framework and operating system for modern motherhood. It supports Moms who want to lead their lives with clarity, confidence, and intention.
We believe meaningful change does not come from doing more. It comes from leading differently—with clarity, structure, and support.
Together.
